Our babyBEings (Part 1) introductory series is a 10 week course that covers two  main themes: the first relationship and
                   free movement.

In the first 5 weeks we look at how to develop a secure and safe relationship between baby and parents based on trust and partnership. The idea that 'the relationship is ALL to the baby' is explored through various topics that include: the quality of touch, feeding with love, anticipation leads to participation, and re-thinking care-giving moments.

During the  second 5 weeks we focus on the why and how of allowing babies to move freely, introduce babies & parents to the value of the outdoors, and take a look at some of the latest research on early brain development.

This 10 week course provides a good grounding in establishing a respectful partnership between parent and baby and also brings a group of new parents together for friendship and support.

babyBEings Part 2 continues on from part 1 for another term/10 weeks. This is the time when babies are beginning to get on the move and come into closer contact with each other; it is an important time when new parents can need support. During this series we focus on the social baby and how our reactions as adults to the baby's interactions and explorations impact on them. Parents are also introduced to the Circle Of Security (by Cooper, Hoffman and Powell) to enhance their understanding of their role as both a secure base and safe haven for their child throughout life.
